Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

so its now apparently there when i gas it, but mostly when the RPMs are coming back down. if you listen closely you can hear the zzzzzzzz whistling. kind of almost sounds like a turbo blow off haha. you have to turn your speakers up really loud, just careful at the end the wind hits the phone at like 0:35 for 3 seconds. its best heard in the first 10 seconds if when speakers are loud, just as i let go of the gas. after i stopped the vid, sound went away. http://s42.photobucket.com/albums/e3...t=IMG_4985.mp4 it sounds MUCH better on my quicktime, way more clear and the whistling is louder. i'll upload it to rapidshare and post up the link for download tonight. thanks!

Doesn't sound too bad to me, in fact I don't hear anything really to be worried about. You are outside of the car, next to the engine. You're going to hear the engine and sounds you've never heard before. But I'm not at the car and I may be wrong. Oh the other links didn't work for me cause I guess I don't have right software and I'm reluctant to download anything onto my work machine, so maybe the other clips do highlight some noise with which to be concerned. Thus my advice is to have a qualified tech give a listen and let him advise you. BTW, I talked to someone here out the office who has some experience with film and such and for these clips that want to be used to help diagnosis a noise, the camera should be mounted on a tripod. In some cases, if you want to record the noise from different vantage points, the tripod can be moved, relocated to pick up the sounds from directly behind the engine and on either side. The positioning wants be relative, too. IOWs, if you locate the camera 3 feet behind the car, then locate the camera 3 away from the car when you put the camera on the left and right sides. Turn off the camera to move it, or edit the moving the camera portion out of the clip. If you race the throttle or do anything other than let the engine idle whatever you do do it the same way as best you can each time you record the sound. Sincerely, Macster.

Took a long time to download from Rapidshare, lol! Very difficult to hear, even with headphones. Reminds me of the noise my car made when the case of the engine fan bolted under the spoiler broke a couple of the plastic tabs...the resulting 'whirring' noise scared me to death!!
