My amplifier has gone out. I am trying to remove it, but one of the bolts is flush against the plastic piece that covers the master cylinder. I am tryiing to remove that piece, but nothing seems to happen when I am trying to unscrew the "big plastic screw". Any suggestions on how to get this out. Amplifier bolt is by red arrow and "big plastic screw" is at blue arrow in attached picture.

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. There are 3 or 4 screws at the top edge by the rubber molding that need to be removed first, then it should lift right out
That "big plastic screw" is not a screw at all, but a "push on connector"... Give it a 1/2 turn counter clockwise to release it and pull it out. To reinstall, push in and 1/2 turn clockwise to lock (once it's locked you can push it in another "click" or two to tighten it up. Per above^^^ yes there are 3 phillips head screws to remove.
