Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

11 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Up for grabs is the iPhone/iPod/AUX cable for my '99 996's factory radio, the non-MOST unit. In addition to pulling the head unit and installing the cable, you also need to enable AUX mode (the Google can help with this). Note this is the older (30-pin) iPhone/iPod cable, but it also has a stereo phono (RCA-type) connectors so you can use it with any audio source. Free to a good home - so long as you actually intend to use it. Send dibs via PM.

Sounds like too much work. I will keep listening to my CDs.

POST 3 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

My new head unit doesn't even have an optical drive...I don't think it would be the ideal system for you.

I am installing an 8-track so I can listen to Styx the way they were meant to be heard.

POST 5 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I thought a perfect vacuum was the ideal environment for Styx music.

Where does that hook up to? I have an '04 Cab with I guess the stock unit. Single CD unit in the console (which skips a bunch) and the 6 CD changer under the bonnet. If it takes the place of the single CD unit, I might be interested.
