Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

Has anyone seen this Blaupunkt Bremen in the wild? Any thoughts on how it would look in an early 996? https://www.blaupunkt.com/en/nc/prod.../single/19059/ https://www.autoblog.com/2019/07/21/...in-production/

I like the look of it. Looks like it would be more at home in a 944, 928, or an air-cooled though.

Continental makes some "period correct " looking head units with modern features such as bluetooth and USB. https://www.bergvillfx.com/index.php...7412ub-or.html

Those are nice, thanks! Too bad they dont have pre-amp output.

From the link: "4-channel preamp-out (4V)" I think it's pretty cool but yes, maybe a little TOO retro for a 996. I'm definitely going to look into them some more for for my two '80s BMWs. Bergvill also sells a small Porsche sticker to go over the continental logo. My aftermarket amp uses high or low level input so the output was not an issue but they make convertors if u need low level.

I love the looks of it standalone, but seems too vintage for a 996 and a better match with the pre-996 dashboard. I think Blaupunkt (and Becker) make the best looking car radios by a very wide margin over everything else, but I've always been disappointed with the sound of Blaupunkt. I've owned a few and have never been happy with their sound. I don't know if that still applies to the latest models -- the last new Blaupunkt I bought was probably around 2000, so it's an old data point. My old 74 911s had a factory Blaupunkt with a built in mic that would pull out of the dash to record on cassette. Very cool radio, did not sound very good, but I never used the radio in that car anyway.

Ahh...finally...I've been looking for a climate control in the 3rd bin. Please tell me your relocation method and/or kit and/or face plate. THANKS!

The car came to me with the hvac in the third spot but with no trim. I cant remember which trim piece i bought but it does make a difference. It might be the one for the hvac in the top spot. I did have to trim the the lower bottom edge. U can see mine is not perfect if u zoom in.

Thank you. I will be doing that soon. Fits the car nicely.
