Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

10 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

It's a 2003 C4S. I bought it with this exhaust and I'm trying to figure out what it is. Nothing in the option codes about PSE. It sounds amazing. Had a 993 guy stop me at the light wanting to know what it is because "it sounds f#$%ing awesome" he said. Thought I should finally figure out what's in my car. Looks stock to me. Were the mufflers gutted or is there a semi bypass?

I'm not sure but it certainly sounds amazing! Never heard any other 911 like it! I've heard other 996's drive by and they sound absolutely silent compared to mine.

POST 5Original post

It looks stock to me but hard to tell since the pictures are not the best.

I will crawl under there after work and see if I can get better pics and see what else I can see. The car is lowered so space is limited!

POST 8Original post

Need much better pictures. A video with sound would be nice while you are at it.

+996. If you can't see anything, see if you can slide your hand between the inner bumper cover and the outer muffler to see if you can feel any welds.

POST 10Original post

Cats and mufflers look stock. Maybe a muffler mod has been done?
