Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

3 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I have a small leak of some fluid coming from a line and clamp area under my 996. I am not sure what the fluid is and if this is a clamp with an o ring inside. Can someone please help me by explaining the function of this. I have attached a picture that I have circled in red the area. thanks

POST 2Original post

This image is a 997, but unless I'm mistaken, the circle lines are the high and low pressure lines for the air conditioning system that eventually connect to the compressor. You'll need an "sniffer" unit to pin point a leak. Some people fill and pressurize the system with a dye that will show up at the leak points.

POST 3 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

OK thanks that helps me a lot. One thing I have learned about a project car; it is never boring. Regards
