Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

7 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Maybe they were pouring strong refreshments at BJ or the buyer noticed some white powder seeping from under the dash. Maybe the car is a Mule. Huge price paid for this very avg car https://www.barrett-jackson.com/Arch...1-TURBO-225111

Price doesn't seem that out of line to me (if you don't factor in the buyer's premium).

POST 3Original post

~$60k for a Tiptronic 996 Turbo whose miles arent listed anywhere I could see feels a bit high. But youll get no arguments from this 996 owner! The more those things sell for, the more all 996s will increase in monetary value. I dont have any intentions of selling mine, but if someone offered me $60k, itd be a really tough no thanks. edit* I see it has 42k miles in the description. Thats not a terrible price, honestly. They have been going up recently.

POST 4Original post

Around these parts, 60K US would come very close to a 997.2 turbo.

A coupe in great shape with 42k miles? Certainly not. Unless $20k is very close for you. edit* I was wrong.

ad says good shape and for Barrett Jackson that means Avg at best in Porsche speak.

Youre right. Great shape was an overstatement. In addition, upon further inspection it appears I was incorrect. 997.2 Turbo coupes are indeed available for very close to $60k. My apologies.
