Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Thanks to the eagle eye of a member here noticing that my exhaust tips were a bit low, my guy now has a new set of motor mounts. Before and after show just how much the original mounts had fallen. Noticeable ride/drive difference and so glad that project was successful... Ralph

Nice work. Mine are in the mail. Plan to do them next week. I went with stock replacements with the M030 suspension on the car. Didn't need additional harshness or vibration from more "sporting" mounts.

POST 3Original post

How hard were they to swap? How long did it take?

POST 4Original post

It's about a one beer job. Two if you're really thirsty or have a serious drinking problem.

Haha, thanks Tony! My car came with aftermarket engine mounts, I'm not sure if they're the old FF mounts or something else but they're very stiff and transmit a good amount of NVH. I'm thinking about going back to stock..

POST 6 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Thanks Chicago. It took about 1.5 hours by my mechanic. I went with the Rein on Amazon and am very pleased so far. Frankly I was shocked at how much the originals sagged. I too have the M030 suspension if anyone is wondering. The only issue we had was the passenger side tip loosened at the coupling and we broke two rusted bolts trying to get it off the car to reinstall. Ralph

So...that would mean some on this forum would need a six pack before getting to the garage! Right? Of course it would've to be a speciality beer in a glass or a green bottle for sure.

POST 9 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Excellent video, very glad I had my mechanic do the work, well worth it...

POST 10Original post

I just did mine, probably one of the easiest jobs I've done to my car Less than an hour start to finish No more sagging exhaust tips Funny the Pelican write up says it's a 3 hour job I hope that's not the book rate at the shop

POST 11Original post

X2, it is a one hour job at best. Just make sure you lift the engine enough before undoing the mounts. I lifted up until weight was off suspension and the engine still dropped about a 1/2" from bottom of mount bolt on passenger side but did not create any problems. Next, the trans mount.
