Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

13 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 2Original post

True. Wishes for clear skies and high land. Be safe.

POST 3Original post

It's a big state. In DFW we are fine. My folks in SA are good too. Pray for those in SE TX though. H town is hurting.

POST 4Original post

Thanks have a house in rockport on the coast and have yet to see what damage is. TT is safe and sound though.

POST 5Original post

Other than concern for peoples safety, the sad part is that this storm spun up so quickly (less than tropical storm to Cat 4 in about 2 1/2 days), that many people didn't have time to prepare. There are probably many nice cars that ended up under water in the Houston area.

POST 6 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

It is amazing how many volunteers are showing up to help the folks, good to see!

POST 7Original post

I'm in Houston and doing okay. We have electricity, food, water, plenty of booze, and most importantly, internet. Both Porsches are high and dry in the garage.

POST 8Original post

These are pictures I took around our neighborhood this afternoon.

POST 9Original post

Thanks NYoutftr. So far so good but at least 3 more days of cr*p weather if the NWS forecasts are correct. Prayers for those less fortunate!

POST 10Original post

I have worked a little over 100 hours in the past 8 days. 55 of that was setting up shelters in the Austin area for folks displaced from the coast. I have one sister in the Woodlands near 02TX996Cab doing fine, and one in Houston near Braes Bayou that is holding on. Planning on catching up on news and pics today before I head home for some sleep. Fished the Rockport/Port Aransas area for years and bet I couldn't recognize it now. D.

POST 11Original post

Prayers for all our friends in the Houston area if there is anything we can do to help from Florida please reach out. Rich

http://www.redcross.org/local/texas/...ways-to-donate I live a few thousand miles away so in-person assistance isn't possible. I saw the FEMA media conference this am and they suggested that donations would really help...I did so.

The Red Cross is a great way to help. In 2011, 6 weeks after buying our home, the floods came to our area, 500 year levels. We were landlocked for 4 days, no in or out. 8 days no power, no electricity or natural gas. The Red Cross was coming through with load speakers every few hours asking folks if they need any assistance. They had food and water and minor supplies.
