Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

18 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

  • Rennlist: 1 discussions

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Ok Rennlist, you win. Forum posts have me convinced that my car (2000 C2 Cab Tip) is going to bleve at any moment, so I'm having the IMS, RMS, and some other stuff upgraded next week. I didn't realize that my membership was going to be so costly.

POST 2Original post

well thats one way to look at it...... OR "I didnt realize NOT knowing was going to be so costly" I had mine slated for surgery the day I got the call and sold it. I could no longer live in fear... but never managed to get the job done before it went bye-bye

There are usually two ways you quickly depart with your money on this forum. 1. irrational fear drives you to do what some would term "preventative" work. 2. mods become all you can think about.

POST 8Original post

Bill's good people, but be careful. He'll have you out at the track before you know it. I love to pull into his shop just to look at what's in the lot.

3. You sell your perfectly good fully modded preventatively maintained p-car only to wind up buying a bone stock turbo or gt3 and start all over again

POST 13Original post

It NEVER ends. You are only fooling yourself.

That's my plan. I had the same thing going with my first house. Had everything updated then moved to a 90 year old house that was all original.
