Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

4 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Hi, I noticed that a piece of foam/rubber-like material is coming out between the convertible top and the drivers window. It is wedged between the soft top and the plastic guide. I have included some pictures. Please let me know the best way to repair this. I do not want to just cut it as it probably serves as water barrier. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you.

POST 2Original post

I would suggest putting the top in service position (halfway closed), and taking more pictures.

POST 3 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I am a little concerned in stopping the top halfway. I was told not to do this with another car manufacturer after the hard top convertible got stuck and locked up.

POST 4Original post

Read your manual. Porsche recommends "service position" for multiple diagnostics. But put it halfway open to be safe.

This is a source reference. Confirm exact model applicability in the original material.
