Just bought a 2003 996 C4S with 42k miles (the enthusiasm for this model on this site helped encourage me!). While Revving high getting onto the freeway, I've been able to replicate a noise where I am in 4th or 5th gear and beyond 5k rpm. I would describe the noise as "grinding" and it seems to come from behind the steering wheel (from the perspective of the driver). Obviously I am going to take it back to the dealer where purchased to get it checked out, but thought you guys might instantly recognize the issue. I attached a video where I captured the noise. Thanks in advance for any help!
