After sitting on the sidelines for 15 years, I am finally back in the game. Back in 2000, I owned a 1982 911 SC. I loved it and it was a great first Porsche. It had Webber carbs and an after market exhaust. I sold it with the intentions of purchasing a 930 and life got in the way and the 930 never happened. Boy how I wish I would have kept it, especially with today's values on the air cooled classics. Two months ago I purchased a 2002 996 nearly the way I liked it. It came with an IMS solutions kit, H&R springs, aerokit, aftermarket, wheel spacers, K&N, Torque solutions control arms and engine mounts. I recently purchased an X-pipe and an ECU flash to finish it off to my liking. The sound with the new X-pipe is amazing, what a difference! It now has a sound that is appropriate for such a great car. I look forward to conversing with you all and continuing to learn as much as possible about the 996.

Coverage and how to read this overview
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

That is a great looking car! Congrats on the purchase, and welcome back to the fold. Maybe post a video of that exhaust sound you mention. Guessing it's pretty awesome.
Welcome back! Lovely car, very similar to what I want mine to look like, I'm refinishing some wheels in black right now. Which rear wing is that?
You sir, have GREAT taste! Beautiful car/cars!
Thanks all. I will post a video of the exhaust soon. I'm not sure what wing it is, but I'm sure someone on here will know it before I do...
Beautiful car! Welcome back into the fold!
GREAT looking car! Wing looks very appropriate. The crests stand out very well on the black wheels.
The time between Porsches, she drags, no? Welcome back. Congrats. Enjoy!
Then...and now. Fantastic cars sir. Congrats on your new awesomeness!
Congrats and welcome back! Mike
Thanks all. Here is a short clip of the new exhaust note. It was raining tonight so this is the best I can do for now...but more to come!
