Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

4 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

In my 2003 996 carrera ( nephrite green interior which btw imo is awesome ) the plastic cover where the sunroof switch is housed was scratched and now have a replacement brand new cover from OPC ( cheap as well at 15euros only...) . Is this ahard job to do ? anything i need to be careful about apart from not chipping this nephrite plastic which is very delicate i must say

POST 2Original post

No, it's not a difficult job. Remove two black oval plastic pieces. There are Torx (T-20?) screws underneath. Remove the screws. Pull down on rear side of cover (closest to rear of car), before pulling the cover off completely, push it toward the front of the car about an inch and it will disengage (there are two small plastic tangs that hold the cover up under the mirror). Installation is reversed. Good Luck
