My clutch master cylinder failed and is leaking fluid (2002 C2). I was about to order part 996-423-171-06 (recommended part) but noticed that 996-423-171-07 existed from a few vendors. Based on the numbering alone, it would seem to be a newer revision of the part that I need. Does anyone know if 996-423-171-07 is a clutch master cylinder that fits the 996.2? I can't find any supporting documentation and according to Pelican Parts, this part did not show up in their catalog. They couldn't recommend that I purchase it because they couldn't confirm fitment. Thanks in advance!

Sunset and pelican say the same thing. I don't feel like being the guinea pig on this part because I'd like to do some driving next weekend

Just buy from Sunsetporscheparts.com They ask for your VIN to verify the parts fit and are the latest for your car so no worries there for sure. Make sure they have it in stock though. Otherwise it may take a few days to a week of delay. If you want real-time inventory info, rndeuroparts.com is great and they have very competitive pricing too.
