Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

8 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I asked the dealer but they don't know. There is a low battery light (not illuminated). Maybe it's some kind of alarm. Any ideas?

POST 2Original post

Could it be a transponder for a gate? Left behind by the previous owner

POST 4Original post

It's looks just like a LoJack transponder (edit: for the early warning system). I had a few of them over the years. -td Found a black and white pick from LoJack's website. Cost to buy/install new ~$1000. Not sure if you can transfer them though. Lojack.jpg

POST 6Original post

What does it do? Let you know when you are out of link range? Lowjack extra feature helping you find your keys?

POST 7Original post

LoJack is an anti-theft device. Wiki LoJack or hit www.lojack.com -td

POST 8Original post

It is a Lojack key pass. If the car is moved without the key pass in the car, you will receive a phone call and/or email from Lojack. That's assuming that you've transferred the Lojack service to your name (a one-time charge of about $180). I just went through this with my wife's VW Bug. Lockjack is a homing device in your car. When activated, the police will track down your car. It's very effective. You should also get a discount on your insurance.
