Here is a newbie question - continuing the theme are their differnt types of OEM seats for a 996?? I thought I had read something about Sport seats versus something else but I cant seem to find it when I search.

there are basically three types of oem seats for the 996. the regular bucket type, sport seats and gt3 type. recarro makes some nice aftermarket seats as well. btw, i believe that recarro makes the seats for porsche, but i may be wrong..

thx Manny How do I know which seats I have? I can cetianly rule out GT3 seats. I find my sets to have too much lumbar. I know I should be sitting upright but being 25 lbs overweight is making a bit uncomfortable. i assume i would need to buy new rails if I buy aftermarket seats?

dominick: these are the oem sport seats. on some of these you can get the backs of the seat painted usually the same color as the exterior.
