Having driven an 00 C2 for awhile I was impressed on how throaty the 02 sounded when I drove it recently. I was thinking maybe of upgrading the 00 exhaust with PSE - will it sound like the 02 or is it completely different? Thanks.
It should sound the same throaty way. PSE is the best upgrade to any Porsche.
I agree. My C4S has PSE and that is one of the options that is really worthwhile.
If you think that you might go for this then do it from the factory. I love the sound but I also like having the ability to turn it off when I want to listen to music or come home late.
I've had PSE on my last 2 Carreras, and it is the best option I've had in any car! The '02+ stock exhaust has an improved/increased exhaust note compared to the '99 - '01. PSE is a dramatic improvement over both stock versions. The following site has a comparison of the '02+ stock exhaust & PSE. Click on interactive specs, then click on the engine, and there will be 2 sound clips at the bottom right.
