Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

3 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

My Air Bag warning light came on today. What does this mean? Am I suddenly going to have the bag explode in my face? Or will it not deploy if needed. Have a feeling it is just a faulty signal. Anyone else experienced this? 99 996 C2 58K miles.

POST 2Original post

I am new to this site, and this is my first post, but I recently had a similar problem with my '99 996. Your airbag light is probably on due to a faulty seat belt buckle. This problem should be fixed for free by your local Porsche dealer as there is a technical bulletin out on this issue.
