Anybody else done/doing the Silver State Classic this weekend? I booked this a few months ago when I thought I'd be in my Saab. The 996 just sort of happened but it should be a fun way to continue getting to know the car. My navigator is convinced that at a "mere" 105mph average in a 996, he'll be listening to the CD player and cranking up the a/c, but I'm hoping he'll read the mileposts from time to time as well!

Coverage and how to read this overview
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.
6 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

Hate to tell you (or rather you navi), but 105 is the "average" and is still very fast on a highway. Loose your focus, even at that speed, and you will be asking for a potential consequence that nobody would like to see.
Too true! I see this year as a learning experience, with the ambition of working my way gradually up the speed classes.
Well, my navigator paid attention, and we came third in class with a 3 second deficit! We're already planning how to do better next time... Photo to follow...
Could you post a short write-up on the entire experience? And possibly some pictures? I'm curious to read how it went. Congratulations on your third position.
Sure, I'll do that in the next few days. In the meantime, here we are practising our bext thousand-yard-stares just before the start, and a pic of the average speed when I remembered a couple of minutes after we finished (it was actually reading 110 average when we crossed the line)
