Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

8 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

http://cgi.ebay.com/1974-Porsche-914...QQcmdZViewItem Needless to say, the Werewife growled "No!" when I asked if I could bring it home. So much for my plans to get her her own Porsche (so she'll leave the 996 alone)

POST 2Original post

Yikes...I think it would have been better to leave the Beetlebug VW hupcaps off the car completely....

POST 3Original post

There's no such thing as stopping the rust on a 914. Having lived in the snow(rust) belt I can speak from experience. Cheers,

POST 4Original post

What's the feeling of driving a 914? I've never been in one? I imagine it's a cross between the old beetle and 924.

POST 6Original post

A somewhat hopped up go-kart. Fun, but no real power to speak of.

POST 7Original post

thats exactly it. i had one as my first car and kept it for 11 years. a 73 1.7. i'll have one again some day - but not that one on ebay!

POST 8Original post

They were great cars for the day. MGBs Triumphs, Opel GTs were the competition and on a country road there was no contest, particularly in the 2.0. I have a Targa top I will give to anyone who comes aftrer it
