Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

21 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 3 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

No they were gone a long time ago, but my winter wheels are Turno twists II that will be for sale real soon.

POST 4Original post

I remember when you posted that first pic! I can't believe my 2004 has 33,000 miles.

POST 6Original post

That garage looks like HEAVEN! Congrats on the new ride - it's sick!

POST 8Original post

whats the dif between the classic twist and the twist IIs? are they both 18" and setup for a narrowbody 996? what kind of price?

POST 9Original post

I was a bit nervous taking delivery of my 996 as it rolled off the truck. Not sure how it would all turned out as it's my first cab. My first drive was to fill up the tank and head to the back roads w the top down on Thanksgiving evening! It was a bit cold but very exciting. Sorry, I don't think that was a single sentence!!

POST 10Original post

kilrgt, going back to when I first saw your car during the Vette-Pcar thread wars: you have one phenomenal looking ride. Pristine.

POST 11Original post

I took delivery of my first 911, a '93 C2, at the factory on a Monday morning in May of 1993. In a large skylit area sat approximately 25 cars awaiting the arrival of their new owners to the delivery hall in Stuttgart. Separated from herd was my gleaming new Polar Silver C2. While there were many other colors on display in the hall, I was certain mine looked the best. OK, second best to the Polar Silver Turbo parked nearby for delivery the same morning. The Porsche rep conducting my delivery was excellent. Very knowledgeable, and answered all my questions. When I asked about the break-in procedure, he advised not exceeding 5000 rpm for the first 500 miles and to vary my road speed as much as possible. I told him that I was to attend a 3 day driving school at the Nurburgring beginning Thursday and asked him for any advice. He smiled and just commented, "Drive 500 miles before Thursday". A few minutes later, I decended the ramp from the second floor delivery area and pulled in to Stuutgart traffic. The adventure had begun. It continues to this day, two 911's later. Cheers,

POST 12Original post

My first though....I haven't driven a stick shift in 10 years...hope I don't stall right in front of the good-looking (female) salesrep. Second though...crap I guess I have to tell my wife that I DID buy a Porsche. Third though (5 minutes later) I feel I have driven this thing all my life...it fits like a glove.

POST 13Original post

Yikes - aren't you only, like, 29 or something? No matter what I ultimately drive, I don't think I will have "arrived" until I'm lounging on a St. Tropez beach, reading a book, at 65.

POST 14Original post

or rather lounging on a 65 Ft boat off St-Tropez with a 29 yr old trophy girlfriend.

POST 15Original post

When I got mine and brought it home I couldn't believe I have a Porsche in my garage. It was like a dream.

POST 16Original post

I still get that feeling now when I go to the garage frige for a cold one.

POST 17Original post

Why would you be reading a book lounging on a beach in StTropez?

POST 18Original post

Yeah, she's been ridden harder than a Mexican stripper when the rent is due, but she looks a lot better!

POST 19 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

That statement is like when you first walk into a great club/bar, its awsome but you know the night is only going to get better.Arriving doesn't mean I am done it simply means Its only starting

POST 20Original post

nice pics, Paul... I love the progression she has gone under, you can't let her go now!

POST 21 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Thanks Jon, but i will have fun modding the new car, I might just keep it tho when the new one comes, then i can really start to play with it, I am thinking about doing some cams , massaging the heads and adding a charger for kicks, I just hope it wont be faster then my new turbo , or I can foresee some K24 Turbos, I wont be able to sleep knowing my c2 beats up on my TT! But if I do sell it all of the mods will be taken off and offered to my fellow listers first.
