POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

That's my dilemma, I want to paint my black bake calipers but can not decide on a color. Which color would look the best on an 03 seal gray Yellow vs red vs blue... Post pics if available TIA G'

POST 2Original post

I alway think yellow looks better on calipers - red is too common!! Heck I saw a Hyundai yesterday with red calipers!!

POST 3Original post

OK, neither were options so I apologize in advance. 1st vote: Pearl white 2nd vote: The style of Eddie Van Halen's Guitar

POST 4 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Yeah I'm sort of leaning towards the yellow ones! Still would like more opinions G'

POST 6Original post

Blue sounds interesting. Obviously red typically indicates the upgraded brakes of an S or a turbo. Yellow typically indicates PCCB. Blue would look custom... I've seen orange as well as bright green too, which are interesting options.

POST 11 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Yellow defenitely stands out..

POST 12 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Does anyone have blue slippers, please post pics Thank G'

If your looking for something more unique... Try brembo racing gold as seen on motorcycle calipers or their mono block calipers. Lay red brembo lettering over them. I had gold calipers on my titanium grey G35. Looked sharp to me.

POST 15 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I've never thought about gold calipers! That would look sharp with the gold center caps Porsche emblem Thank, Keep the ideas coming..

POST 17Original post

I have a 2000 c2 artic silver with red seat belts and will do my calipers red, im just debating on the process to use.. so red it is

POST 18Original post

These are the titanium finished monoblock Brembo's on my R1 with red lettering -- they are nice but the best looking calipers are the gloss nickle finish Brembos with red lettering!!

POST 19Original post

go red, at leat it is original, Yellow is for carbon brakes and will look fake

POST 20Original post

yellow against seal grey is a great contrast... if you had silver I'd say go red... either way you can't go wrong

POST 22 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

They are already black now but do not stand out. As of now I'm leaning towards yellow unless I see a blue that can convince me. G"

POST 23Original post

"Just" calipers would be "BLING"...! Like adding ONLY coffee can exhaust tips. You would need to at least add front, side, and rear spoilers for the LOUD calipers to be recognized otherwise.

Phew, Nice front end on that R1

POST 25Original post

You could actually order a 996 from the factory with calipers painted in the color of your choice. I know there's a rennlister with a 996 C4S that has yellow calipers that were ordered from the factory.

POST 28 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Votes so far are 5 - yellow 5 - red 2 - black 1 - blue 1 - gold Can't seem to find a pic of the blue ones online! G'

POST 31Original post

Could be interesting... (photo taken from google images, and ECS tuning).

POST 32 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Wow those blue ones are cool!

POST 33Original post

I agree yellow generally means PCCB on a Porsche. I wouldn't want to look phony.

POST 34Original post

Quotes source post: 10213880

Except since Porsche allows custom order, any color you want, the concept of phony is rendered kinda moot

POST 35Original post

I predict you are going to choose.......Blue!

POST 36Original post

Those blue calipers are pretty sweet. You could worse than choosing that color. Red is too common; go with the blue.

POST 38Original post

I had mine done in the same color as my car (silver)... the color matched calipers looked great and didn't give the car that "modded" or "fake upgraded caliper" look

POST 39Original post

Quotes source post: 10213894

I guess that's true. But I've never seen factory yellow calipers that weren't ceramic.

POST 40Original post

Here's a photo of the wheel and caliper from a 2004 996 C4S that belongs to rennlister Mabuhay that has the following option: CRFT Brake Caliper in Yellow

POST 41Original post

Quotes source post: 10214387

It's not fake to have a yellow caliper it's only an aesthetic colour choice, I don't think anyone trying to act like they have ceramic rotors here. Sometime Porsche guys over analyze things!!!

POST 42Original post

+1000 to fanny bay r1. i would go with any colour that "I" think looks nice. personally that would be yellow

POST 43Original post

Quotes source post: 10214631

Well I guess I can't say that anymore then Look I'm all for painting your calipers whatever color you like. It is just that for me, the yellow PCCB calipers are pretty iconic. I never have been huge on brake caliper colors. My red ones look like **** after some track use.

POST 45Original post

I agree with those who say do what makes you happy and don't worry about it. Personally I prefer understated to embellished, but it's your car.

POST 46 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I have decided to go with RED after reading all the posts. Really don't want my car to look like a rice burner after different mods. Afer all this was an $80k when new. Thanks for all the input. G'

POST 47Original post

I know you went red but those yellow Cali's really look good maybe I'll do that on mine.....

POST 48Original post

My choice is obvious I added the Carrera yellow stripe to accentuate the calipers

POST 49Original post

Congratulations on choosing red. All look great and it's a matter of taste. I went with red because it really looked cool with my triple black IMO.

POST 50Original post

Problem with yellow is that it's a little "poser", as the carbon brakes have yellow calipers. Good job picking red - looks great and Porsche should have trademarked that.

POST 51 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

should get my car back by Sat morning. I can't wait to hear hat exhaust note! Will post pics sometime this weekend G'

POST 52Original post

I think you will like it. I also went with red and I am pleased with the results.

POST 53Original post

Here are a couple examples of calipers done on new Brembo GT calipers, for anyone else looking for some ideas: Auto Talent did these in some kind of candy apple.
