I visited my 01 cabriolet today for the first time in a few weeks and I think it may be mad at me for the lack of attention. Nonetheless, I dropped the top and when I tried to raise it the passenger side rear window stopped going up and appears to be off track. the switch sounds like something is moving, although the window does not budge. If i hit the switch a little up and down at some point I could pull the window up which is what I did to lock the car. Any ideas on how to fix a window that is "off the track"? It could be something else I suppose I am no mechanic that is for sure - although I am generally a handy person and often try to fix things myself first if possible. thanks

Welcome aboard. It is customary to post some pics of your ride when visiting here for the first time, so we will be looking forward to trading info for pics of your ride for us to drool over. Anyway, sounds to me like a window regulator. If you are a do it yourselfer, it should not be a tough job. I did one on the front window of my cab, but never the rear. Took me about an hour. Good luck.
Thanks for the welcome. I just tried to include one as an avatar - i need a better picture I suppose, but let's see if it works. Does anyone have some DIY instructions on how to get at those back side windows in a cab, what to look for, etc? I have attempted to include a picture of the car with an arrow pointing to the window in question. This picture was taken before the problem though so it does not show anything other than the window. thanks!
Wow - your car looks exactly like mine, except I have the chrome twists. Do a search for "Power Window Doesn't Work " that is a pretty good thread with lots of info. Good luck.
