moogle, just trying to get the weight down on the wheels. i've got the gt3 wheels with piolt sports. is that a good, light package? or, is it worth the cash to improve? thoughts?

You will not gain any benifits from a 19" wheel. It is more for looks. The GT3 wheels you have are probably lighter than the 997S wheels. I think the lightest of OE wheels is the Carrera light weight. If you want a light weight 19" you should go to a competetion forged wheel like HRE, Kinesis, Fiske. I have 19" wheels and can tell you there is no handling benefits. There is more road noise as the tires are much larger (315/25) and the ride is some what harsher, but not that much difference. The wheels I have is I Forged and the weight is about 25 lbs. So I did not get any weight savings( more if you are comparing the the Carrera Wheels). Save your money, unless you like the style of a new wheel.
