Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

21 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

we got about a 1.5 feet over the last 2 days. my driveway banks are like shear rock clifts and go higher than the 4s. couple of pic's; starting out after moving the other machines and then a couple of pre drive and wash shots finished with the washed look and snow banks.

POST 2Original post

Yeah so far we've had 348 cm of snow and still going.

POST 3Original post

POST 6Original post

That was some storm this weekend. I've got snowbanks as high as the top of my garage roof at our country place. Tore the airdam off the Rover trying to bust through backroads to get there on Saturday night. I'll be glad when this winter is over...

POST 7Original post

It's great... somebody's having a worse winter than me!

POST 8Original post

It was 74 F in here in San Francisco yesterday. It was great for a nice top down drive on Highway 1.

I'm sorry, did you say "Fish with a Honkie"? I didn't hear you as I'm sitting on the beach in 78F weather writing this and the sound of the surf is pretty noisy! Gotta Go, as I actually am fishing with a Honkie, and the redfish we caught is almost done!

POST 13 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

well OE - i love our winter as much as you love your SF winter. i call that a tie. Sunday the 2nd, sunny clear and crisp on the ski hill - fantastic!

Those snow banks look like the Swiss Alps track on EA's Porsche Need for Speed.... Have you tried bouncing off them at 100mph...?

POST 18Original post

That's some serious snow! I'll be bring my SoCal 996 over to my new east coast home in May, and I still don't know whether I'll get a beater for next winter or just get a set of Blizzaks.

i like having a back up so that i can pick and choose when to drive the 4s.

POST 20Original post

Just one vote, but I'd say drive it. I'm astonished at how capable and fun they are in the snow, and I firmly believe that a constantly-driven 911 is likely to be less trouble than an occasionally driven one anyway.

POST 21Original post

Get a beater to back you up on the bad winter days, enjoy the 996 on the good ones. I hate driving mine on bad weather, even just rain is all it takes for me to pass on it. Will admit I'm am a bit of a mental case when it comes to this kind of things. Regardless, it is a good idea to have a plan B when needed.
