The Bose option fills the rear shelf up to the rear seats. I would like to cover both sections (shelf and subwoofer cover) and the child restraint cuts with a single carpet. Does anyone know where I can get carpet specifically designed for a 996 rear shelf? Lloyds and Porsche don't seem to have anything???
TT junkie, you can get the 99 carrera carpet parts to cover the space as they didn't have a subwoofer back there. you should be able 2 get them from a dismantler as they're not cheap from OEM.
Good question--I am going to order a Lloyds mat for the back as an experiment and just see how it fits. Might even be able to cut an edge and have a local company serge it if needed. Not everyone stocks offers this mat. You can see a sketch on www.autoseattle.com
All the OEM carpets for the rear would be in two parts. One part for those cars without the Bose, and the add-on part for the sub shelf. When I took the sub shelf down, there was still carpet under the shelf, which would be the standard carpet for cars without Bose. If you wanted a single piece carpet, you probably have to have it custom made. I am pretty sure anything off the shelf will not look as good as the standard 2 piece.
