I need to change out my door lock to fit my new key and someone said it was easy by removing a spring and pin but for the life of me I can not see how it removes from the handle assy. Anyone venture a guess.

Coverage and how to read this overview
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

Called porsche and they said to remove the 2 nuts holding the cast inner case with lock from the outer assy with handle.
LOL, good luck!
Did that (the Porsche info) do the trick? BTW - those instructions are similar to what my wife told me she would do if she ever cought me cheating on her.

Yes, there info was allot of help. I was under the impression that the key lock itself came out of the handle assy and maybe replaced, but it does not work that way it is pressed into the casing and that is the part you would buy if you needed, so I swapped out the casing after removing the door assy from the car. The dealer actually sells 2 types the coded one that works with your key or a blank type that has it's own key.
