I was in the stands....no I didnt have press box access.... I was shooting all that stuff with teh Nikon D2x and the Nikkor 70-200/2.8 AFS VR...AMAZING lens....The protoypes...well it was a Porsche sweep 1,2,3 Porsche LMP2 overall, the audis one P2, but were 6th overall....GT was the F430 first then the Flying Lizard Porsche...first time the Audi R10 didnt win overall.....

I just noticed that every car LM or GT have 3 round lights on the side with 3 led each. On some cars, all 3 are light, some 2 etc. Are those for pit stops?? Thanks

Thats their position in the race for their class...1 light is 1st, 2 lights is 2nd, 3 lights is 3rd...no lights means you are not in the top 3 positions aty the time.....It makes it easier for the fans to follow...which car is this and what position are they in...just look at the lights....
