Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

As far as being smacked against the doors in corners, I'm considering ditching the power drivers seat (ouch, I'd hate to do that!) for the GT3 seat but I haven't sat in one yet and wonder if it is really going to fit. I'm 6'2 250 lb and I've noticed that a lot of stuff is designed for shorter, smaller people. Besides, those seats are expensive. Are there economical aftermarket seats with good torso support out there? Maybe my only option is to get the harness bar and 5-point belt (I'll need it for DE anyway). How much of a pain in the ___ is dealing with that going to be for my daily commute? Well maybe the sway bar mods will solve this problem.

POST 2Original post

Well, you can kiss the promotion goodbye if you have to take the boss to lunch Have you tried the regular sport seat? If you like that there is an outfit on e-bay that sells a sport seat conversion kit for $800 that I'm thinking about that provides the shoulder support. Barring that, I hear the 997 seats are a step up also, and Recaro makes decent seats that retain some level of comfort.

POST 3 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Hi Shark, I haven't tried ANY of the other seats. I need to get off this computer and get active in my local PCA. Sure there is no substitute for seeing and trying first-hand. Thanks, Jeff

POST 4Original post

I do have the Euro GT3 seats and they are actually not uncomfortable when you remember it's one size fits all. Only problem I can tell you is I only weigh just under 160lbs. Maybe you'd better try them before buying. I can tell you though for DE they are such a huge step up!

POST 5Original post

I like the sport seats a lot. Everyone who has been in my car comming from other "sports" cars like S3, S4 praise how much better they are than their sports seats. Firm support in cornering etc. So you should try both the GT3 and sport seats.

POST 6 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I'll definately check out both the sport and the GT3 seats. I went to a local PCA rally today but out of 21 cars nobody had anything but the stock seats. Going to DE next weekend and feel certain to find the seats there!
