Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

21 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I have searched for this and can't find anything on it. What was the Limited edition for the 1999 C2?

POST 2Original post

Are we talking the car or the stick on emblem? 😏

POST 4 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Maybe Porsches are so common in his tony neighborhood he had to add it to feel special? :-)

POST 5Original post

That font looks horrific on the back of the car.

POST 6Original post

We all need one during resale to boost our values 10%.

It appears the previous owner took a "limited" stick on emblem from a Toyota and stuck it on the back of your Porsche. I am sorry to say there is no such thing in a 1999. You may choose to keep it but if I were you I would take some dental floss and carefully remove it. Maybe it's just the rest of us here on the board but it looks out of place and frankly just awful....

POST 8Original post

Limited was the special edition that came with Blinker Fluid and Muffler Bearings, very rare, id pay extra 20k easy for that model

POST 9Original post

Didn't even get the Carrera badge in the right place. Ugh. There's a Far Side cartoon waiting here somehow...

POST 10Original post

Limited is a different structure than Incorporated. It is more commonly used in Europe because of their tax laws so being a German car that's why. They could have just gone with Ltd and that would have made it easier to wax around. It should have been Carrera, Ltd. Wow, how awesome would that look!

POST 12Original post

I'm pretty sure that the "Limited" version has an upgraded MILF bearing.

POST 13Original post

This is hilarious, that sticker does look terrible, just can't understand why people do this kind of things to deface a beautiful car...

POST 14Original post

I think it also had the gold emblem package and wire wheels.

POST 15Original post

it's obviously fake as I have the only limited 99' that was imported to the states...toyota did the paperwork

POST 16Original post

Definitely a collector as its the only one made

POST 17Original post

The only difference between the limited and a regular '99 is that the limited had 8 cup holders

POST 18Original post

You guys are so far off-base! As was mentioned previously, the abbreviation for Limited is LTD, and who made the LTD? Ford of course. So this is the very rare Ford-Porsche LTD.

POST 19Original post

Nope. Source: http://www.thelimited.com/customer-s...r-company.html The 1999 Limited was a car built specifically for the "modern woman". Similar in concept to the Eddie Bauer Ford Expedition. Target buyer for the 1999 Carrera Limited:

Actually, it was Porsche's way of commemorating a very famous US passenger train known as the 20th Century Limited, which operated from 1902 to 1967. Note that the original 911 was released in 1963, which is kinda close to 1967, and if you rearrange the digits in 1902 and 1967, dropping some obviously, you get 911. Most importantly, 1999 was almost the last year of the 20th century, so its clearly the 20th Century Limited.
