Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

13 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

VW says they want the beatle to appeal go to men as well as women (core market in the past) and the revealed silouhette suggest a move to mush the lines between a porsche and a Beatle. Angry thoughts?

POST 3Original post

Not too worried... and on the plus side it looks less like a chick car. http://wot.motortrend.com/6694850/fu...how/index.html

POST 4Original post

Naw, they are intro'ing a squashed Beetle. Doesn't look promising to me. http://www.autoweek.com/article/2010...NEWS/101129974

POST 5Original post

Just an FYI : This ia a Beetle... This is a Beatle...

POST 6Original post

Looks like the Panamera design team got reassigned.

POST 7Original post

Correct me if I'm right, but is the Audi TT based on the Beatle platform?

POST 8Original post

I'm not sure about the new TT's but the first gen TT's were on a beatle platform.

POST 9Original post

I've never been too concerned with the whole "chick car" idea. One of our cars is an '03 New Beetle Turbo that was purchased new. In the 7 years we've owned it, the car has been the most reliable, least expensive to maintain car that I have ever owned. The pics of the new one definitely seem to have a Panamera influence.

POST 11Original post

It doesnt reseamble the 911 but it looks better than the older style beetle. I wouldn't buy one. Plus, I bet it still comes with a flower in the front dash.

POST 12Original post

Damn.... These designers are lazy as hell. Plus, it's fugally.

POST 13Original post

Beattle does look squashed. I'd say the audi looks like a boxer or 911. Kind of hard to tell when they only show up in the rear view mirror.
