Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

4 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I've got a friend who has never used his hardtop; he has the original cover in the bag and the rolling stand. What do these go for? TIA. NJ Metro area.

POST 2Original post

Looks to me like they are listed for $500-$1000 and are generally given away as they really are not wanted by anyone. Not only do they not solve a problem but they take up space. If I don't use mine in the next few month I'm going to fire sale it.

POST 3 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Thanks, I found similar answers doing a search. If I had a 996 cab I'd be all over one of these myself-I prefer the look of a cab with a hardtop to a coupe.

POST 4Original post

That's what I thought and was a plus when buying my car becasue my previous sports car was an Alfa (10 years ago) and the canvass top was so terrible I swore I would never by another Cab of any type. I thought the hard top would alleviate that. I quickly recognized the reality that the Porsche soft top is excellent and I gained nothing from the hard top. So, it is hanging in my garage for now and I can't imagine why I would want to use it unless I had a really extended winter. In Texas we would miss too many nice winter days that I don't want to be married to the hard top.
