Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

17 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Had my '02 996 C4s for a while and been lurking here and there. Thought it was time to come out of the closet and introduce myself. Here is the standard pic. Also, clutch pedal seems to be getting a little soft here and there. Was hearing some bearing noise I think with the pedal engaged, but it has gone away now. Any suggestions?

POST 2Original post

Hi there and welcome! "remember to send me that info so I can help you with 6-spd" If your clutch is getting heavy and that rattle is coming up during slow takes offs then yup it's a good indicator that you'll need to replace the one you have..... Let me know if you need the hook up, I'm having one put in my car this week so I've done some asking at the dealership..... -Eli

POST 15Original post

the 4S part should keep you out of inclement weather in that State. Killer back end; they should be able to imprint that in the concrete of the Hollywood strip!

POST 16Original post

POST 17Original post

I'm going to need a new clutch myself soon. Where are you getting yours done and what is the estimate? I've heard around $2,000.
