Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

16 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Baby seat for adults! Thanks Albert!

POST 3 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I was going to order them through the shop, but then a friend in LA was selling his car and parted it out. Did you want a set?

POST 7Original post

If the members of this forum took all the $$ we've cumulatively spent on mods, we could bail out a few third world countries.

POST 8Original post

Don't even get me started Richard! I counted up my reciepts (DON'T DO THIS) from the past couple years after being on the board and let's just say I could have been about half way to a base model Boxster!

POST 9Original post

I did the exact same things a number of years ago with my BMW and I couldn't believe the dough I poured into that car. When I sold that thing I didn't get one cent more for all the upgrades and stuff I put into it. I promised myself that I wouldn't put a lot of money into upgrades on any future car that i owned. Its great while you have them but, IFWIW, they don't bring you anything more when it comes time to sell.

POST 10Original post

Totally agree Jim.....that is why the 911 is a car that I will NEVER sell. I can see owning it as long (if not longer) than we have owned the 81 Z.

POST 11Original post

The only way to get your money out of mods is to return the car to stock(keep your old parts) and sell the parts later. My 996 has been the most reliable car I've ever owned, why get rid of it? Drive it hard all week, beat on it at the track and it comes back for more, top that if you can.

POST 13 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

No, this is my first set. I must say, backing up is not as easy.

POST 15 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

funny you mentioned that....it's on the way

POST 16Original post

After just playing the losing your shirt Harley game, I'm taking it a step further with the Porsche. I buy parts at used parts prices (either actual used parts in good condition, or new parts being on fire sale) so that when I take them off again, I can sell them for the same price I paid.
