Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

16 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I saw this car in my search..I love the red on this car, but....uh...what are they thinking!

POST 2Original post

Nice "Arrest me red" cab. Really looks good. BTW, really nice mod by the boys in Tomball TX as well. I wonder if it was screwed into the bumper... Please take some close-ups, I may want to have my local dealer do this to mine. Also, I noticed it's missing the "Save the whales" bumper sticker?

POST 3Original post

Many..many years ago I went to pick up my new car, I had specifically told the dealer NO stickers or dealer badges. It was on the sales order. When I got there the car had a big dealer sticker on it. I turned and left without the car, picked it up after they removed it to my satisfaction and they were nice enough to give me a credit to the parts department for my trouble. If they want me to advertise for them I would expect to be paid!

POST 4 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Hell...at least center it on the bumper!

POST 5Original post

Better yet, add a second one on the right side to provide the proper balance.

POST 6Original post

really? this is a big deal now. Its a sticker...remove it in 3 seconds and move on with your life.

POST 7Original post

put one on the front and have the stupid arrow point at the tow hook

POST 8Original post

My wife asked a dealer to remove their sticker when she picked up her Grand Cherokee a few years back. The salesman asked her what would it take to leave the sticker in place, probably thinking a set of floormats or something. She did not hesitate before saying, "$36,450."

It's the principle. You are buying a car not a piece of the dealer. A friend of mine bought a brand new Cadillac in NJ and stipulated "no dealer decals". When she picked up the car not only did it have a dealer decal but they drilled two holes in the decklid to install it. A brand new car with two holes drilled in the back. Needless to say she refused the car.

Thats obviously a different story...two holes is far different from a little vinyl sticker

No problem on the Vettes, remove the screws and the body panels are self-healing plastic

POST 14Original post

Seemed the right thing to do covering up the bullet hole as cheap as possible.

Good for you. I had a similar experience - they badged and pinstriped it. I hated it and spent 45 mins removing them (in the snow) to get rid of those monstrosities. I'm paying for a car, not to advertise their business.

They are like feral dogs, marking their territory. Except, their mark is more permanent...
