I've looked all over the rotor hat (without taking off the wheel), and can't find any numbers at all. Any hints on where this might be for an OE part? Thank you!

Coverage and how to read this overview
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

I believe the thickness of a new OEM front rotor for the 996 is 28mm. The minimum thickness is 26.5mm, if I remember correctly. I am sure someone will chime in with the specs for the rear rotors.
Doh! Looks like Renntech has a full-detail post on this bit. Fronts: 28 orig, 26 min. Rears: 26 orig, 24 min. http://www.renntech.org/forums/index...10379&hl=rotor
It IS stamped right on the top hat section, F&R. If your rotors are rusted, you'll never see it, though. I didn't know it was there until after I sanded and painted my rotors.
Befast gave you the specs... If 2mm less than when new then is time to replace. Front: 28/26 min Rear: 26/ 24 min
In the Porsche wear chart (as provided by by Loren @ RennTech), there are two specs: (1) minimum thickness limits (after any machining) and (2) minimum wear limits. So if I am not machining the rotors, just the minimum wear limits apply?
This is a source reference. Confirm exact model applicability in the original material.
