Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

12 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Will I need different down links? Chad

POST 3 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Anyone have the part numbers / prices? Chad

POST 4Original post

My information is pretty old, but I found P/N 996.343.069.91 for a 2000 GT3 endlink. I believe there are both fixed and adjustable versions available, however. Here is a link to a place that sells the parts: http://www.lindseyracing.com/Merchan...ARSMOTORSPORTS Your OE rear endlinks should be fine (but no first hand experience). The stuff is not cheap, though. The Racers Group (TRG) also sells aftermarket GT3 clones. Their front with endlinks is $700. I will actually be selling my TRG front bar in the near future, but it is likely already spoken for by another fine member of this board.

POST 5Original post

I am pretty sure those don't fit??? I remember having the parts guy measure them the stock gt3 end links and they were the same length as the oem's.??? I went trg in any event. They were like 3-400

POST 6Original post

You could be right. That number was for a GT3 Mk1 also. It could be you need the Motorsports ajustable ones or aftermarket to fit a 986/996. I have the TRG ones and have fabricated a few myself.

POST 7Original post

I remember them being the same but I don't know if it was for a mk1 or 2 or if they're all the same-

POST 8Original post

you need new drop links. i got mine from TRG, i think they were $600 or so. check with viper bob at devek, he may have something less expensive.

POST 9Original post

Hmmm, the carnewal site seems to imply you only need the bars and bushings. I'm sure Gert could set you straight... http://www.carnewal-europe.com/cpx_p96006.htm

POST 10Original post

He will tell you, you will need to modify or buy new ones. I have gone through it.

POST 11Original post

"Depending on the shocks you use, you either need longer or short drop links." This is what Gert told me on the very same question. Depends on your shocks.

POST 12Original post

My fabricator modified my existing 996 C2 links to work with the GT3 bars. I'll try to take a couple pics this weekend and post them up in this thread. Based on the prices above, looks like I saved quite a bit.
