Just joined Rennlist. Thought it might assist my search for a 996 in Houston. Classifieds seem the same between member and non-member areas. Am I missing something? Still looking for a 2000-2002 with 50k or less miles for less than $35k. Is this a pipe dream?

Coverage and how to read this overview
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.
5 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

Not sure why I'm not showing up as a member. Paid fee and received member number....
Welcome aboard!!! Sometimes it takes a day or two to see 'member' on your avatar. if it doesn't show...you can email [email removed] , and she'll straighten things out. There is guy on the board here that has a cream puff '04 with 45k miles on the clock for sale in the low 40's. i'm sure he'll chime in...it's a helluva deal. i know that may be too much for you, and i'm confident that you should be able to find a car within your range. just remember that there are a ton of cars out there and you must get a ppi...a/k/a pre purchase inspection. good luck!! j
Welcome to the List - this is the best place for Porsche information, bar none. It's a great time to go shopping. If I were going to get into a C2 now, I'd talk to Tim K. (gota911) in Concord, NC. That's a beautiful car. I would be cautious with Victory Motor Cars in Houston - I've seen too many posts where buyers expressed dissatisfaction. They have a wide selection, so it's tempting. Good luck. Bob
Thanks. I've heard the same about Victory Motors. In the meantime, I've found several good sources in Houston for what I'm looking for. I expect success soon. I've been on the board long enough to have seen Tim's car. It does look nice but its still $10k more than I'd like to spend. Need that $10k to buy a Jeep for hunting and for those Houston flash flood days.
