So, Carnewal sells the factory "thicker steering wheel" for about a grand. It appears to be pretty hot. But, Raid has long been selling fantastic 3 spokes w/ airbag, which have made their way into such cars as the Vanquish. They have gotten some traction in the bimmer crowd. Here's an example. I like the first one you posted but it would have to have the crest on it. I wouldn't want to mess with the airbag mechanism. Could you imagine crashing and the air bag not deploying, then the insurance co. not paying for your injuries due to the non oem steering wheel. I am sure you are aware that these days insurance companies are trying to get out of paying claims more than ever.
