Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

11 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

image.jpg Hello does any one know what this white unit is for? There is a brown connector which I have a wire which a mouse bitten through! Doesn't seem to effect the car I have a 1999 c4 cabrio

POST 5Original post

I wonder if it's a Tank Vent Valve which vents fuel vapors back into the intake tract? Can you tell where the lines go? Does one go back into the intake?

POST 6 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I will have a look tomorrow in the day night just hope the mouse didn't eat anything else

POST 7 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Ok I have found out what it is CHANGE-OVER VALVE, CHANGE-OVER FLAP (INDUCTION PIPE) 7.22280.02.0 BY PIERBURG I guess I better find the other wire and repair it

POST 8Original post

Put a few mouse traps loaded with Blue Cheese under the car. That will sort the mice out haha. "AAAAH this tastes much better than brown WHALLOP squeak" hahaha "Why has my head fallen off?"

POST 9Original post

Change over valve. The is one for the flap in the intake plenum and on Eiffel you have PSE. From the pictures which show that one located by the electrical box near the power steering pump it is the one for the PSE. Do you have PSE? You can probably just slice the wire.

POST 10 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

yes i have PSE, so the other end will be connected to the PSE? thanks i will check

POST 11Original post

For ongoing problems, I would highly recommend www.rataway.com . I used this after we found a big mouse nest in my wife's CL55 engine compartment. Caused a bit of damage. 4 years later, no sign of any more mice. I need to do this on my 911TT, just in case. Thanks for the reminder!
