Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

4 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I have had a CTEK maintenance charger hooked up to my 996 all winter. Now I am having trouble getting it started. Even a more powerful charger/starter won't do the trick. It is not completely dead. Is it ok to have it jumped started?

POST 2Original post

Yup, go ahead a get another another car to jump start you.. Sounds like you need a new battery.. Ctek are great battery maintainers.

POST 3 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Thanks Rob. I have never swapped batteries before. Anything I need to know? Just disconnect and re-connect?

POST 4Original post

You need the code for the radio, that's about it though.
