Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

5 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Will an 04 996 engine fit in an 02 996? The 02 is a Carrera 4, dunno what the 04 engine is out of...yet. Will it work? Anything I should look for being that mine is an all wheel? thx...

POST 2Original post

the engine will fit fine regardless of C4/C4S or C2; but if the new one is an x51 engine, your A/C line on the compressor will need to be changed to the x51 part.

POST 4Original post

FYI- '99 996s have mechanical throttle linkages; later models are "drive-by-wire". So, you'll need to plan some work-arounds. relinuca

POST 5Original post

Oops; please ignore my earlier post. The info. is accurate, but that's not the question 07mbagrad was asking. Sorry. relinuca
