Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Anyone got fog lights put on their 996? I was looking to install some in the break on my front bumper. Would like to know if anyone has done this before to avoid any issues from the get go and what type/brand was used. Thanks a million. See pic below for installation location I would like to use.

POST 2Original post

Um, that's what the Aerokit II (GT3) front bumper is for.

POST 3 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

My car didn't come with that bumper, only the side skirts and wing.

POST 4Original post

I see that. That's why you should get the Aerokit II front bumper to complete the look.

POST 5Original post

You are aware, are you not, that you already have a set of fog lights, fully operational and totally functional/functioning fog lights, integrated into the factory headlight assemblies...??

POST 6Original post

I think he knows, but maybe he wants more bling, bling.

POST 7Original post

Well, I have to agree that the black blank spot in the standard facelift bumper is the cars ugliest feature. I've also thought that small round fogs there would improve the look, but as everyone points out, we already have a set that we never use..stupid to add another.....I'd paint it, but it looks like that kind of plastic that doesn't hold paint well.

POST 8Original post

+1 All 996's are delivered from the factory with fog lights. Makes no sense to add a second set.

POST 9 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I am aware that I do have fog lights and I know they work. I do not want to add the MKII bumper. All I want to do is add some fog lights as mentioned, and was wondering if anyone has done the same.

POST 11Original post

I think the gold plated car on Pegasus's post had extra fog lights, maybe that guy knows...

POST 12 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Ok, I have decided against it after putting some mock ups on there today. Did not look good at all. So I am gonna paint the middle black section artic silver and get some new rims. Thanks for the replys!
