I used to park my 911 behind my office in a narrow street ... Having been the innocent and stationary (parked) victim of a female driver making a 3 point turn when a 4 or 5 point one would have been better, I decided to fit a shock sensor to my 90 C2 Coupe's factory alarm. Three more 'hits' (minor but paint required nonetheless) and very happy with the upgrade - possible "hit and runs" into my 911 have now been taken care of by my insurance company ... The last one was a doozy! I'm on the phone to a client when the all-too-familiar P-car alarm sounds - I look out the window and new ford sedan is kissing my 911's a**. Looking like he's ready to leave the scene, I decided to go out the front of my office (even though my car is parked out back, would not make it out there in time to intercept the driver) Decided to go out the front door of my office as the road behind my office where my baby was hit has the only escape route. Confidently holding up the policeman-like hand to STOP the driver yields and asks me if there's any problem. I said "You bet - you've just left the scene of an accident. I have your car rego number and if you don't meet me out the back in 5 mins I'll call the cops" I casually walk out the back to my 911 (alarm still honking), I hear a ford engine with "attitude" swerve around the corner to pull in two car spaces behind my car (tons of space) only to clip - you guessed it - my neighbour's BOXSTER!!! So now we have 2 P-car alarms ringing and one VERY depressed ford driver, head in his hands! Wanting to 'chew the fat' and take some pressure off of this guy, I asked him what he did for a job (he had a new car) - he said he had just lost his job! I said "Tell me you're insured....!" and he said he WAS! I said "its the best money you've ever spent and I'd love to be a fly on the wall when you call your insurance company to tell them you've banged not one but TWO Porsches in the same street within 10 minutes in two seperate visits!! I hate having insurance, but boy I value peace of mind!

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

Wow what a story. One thought....You have to find a better place to park
Wow, thats one unhappy ford driver. Wouldn't you think that a driver has to be more careful when they are around a 911?
I had a similiar setup where i had an aftermarket alarm with the output hooked up to a "pager" so I could run out and "say hi"
You would think that, wouldn't you? I have observed that often other drivers misjudge their perception of the proximity to this lower car.
Wow. What a story. Glad no bodies were hit. The guy didn't look like this, did he?
great story for a Monday!!!! The underground garage at my work is outrageously expensive. And I curse myself for paying the fees each month. Stories like this make me feel like the money is not going to waste...
