Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

7 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I can consistently reproduce this problem, the sunshade I use is the reflective type. No sunshade - alarm don't go off Sunshade - alarm goes off randomly. Anyone had this issue?

POST 2Original post

It must be messing with the motion sensor inside the vehicle.

It must be when the shade falls past the rearview mirror.

POST 4Original post

Yep, happens to me all the time. Press the lock button twice in a row and it should disable the motion sensor and stay locked.

Yes! My neighbor came over to let me know.. She was pissed!

POST 6Original post

Reflective shade will bounce light straight into the IR sensor at the headliner. It will trip the alarm everytime.

POST 7Original post

I went through this during the day after I brought my P-car home. I gave up and bought a car cover.
