Hi All: Time has come, I need to put away my childish things and become a man....I'm getting a TURBO or a Ferrari 355 and I need the garage space. I really would keep this car if I had an extra garage space but I don't so I'm selling my baby. True no reserve auction starting at $1,000 on ebay. I think someone is going to get a great deal on this one: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...9093164&rd=1,1

Coverage and how to read this overview
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

It would be an even better deal if you were a member...why not joinn Rennlist. Good luck with the sale...make sure you post some pics when you buy the turbo.
I predict it will get sold in the mid 20s. GL with the sale
Seems like a nicely cared for 996. Only question is why you feel the need to overstate the pricing on items??? It never ceases to amaze me why people feel the need to do this in their eBay ads. For example, the Fabspeed pipes are not anywhere close to $700. All it takes is a simple scroll through the fabspeed website to know what they really cost. That could turn off a potential buyer.
Dell: Good call! I really thought I paid $700 bucks for them but they are listed at $550....it's been awhile. I will update it with the new info.
well.... they like to get the best price they can get..... and hope no one calls them on it........... u should JOIN before you sale......... GL on you sale though
OR it could have just been an honest mistake
Had a local guy drive the car on Sunday. He seemed like a pretty serious buyer so I let him take it out for a spin. He offered me $25K for it. I think it's a fair price and I need to move this car to free up my garage. What do u guy's think--let the auction ride and risk getting less and/or a flakey buyer or let it go for $25K?
Geez - I was looking for a low mile 1999 in nice condition for $25K, so a buyer atthat price is certainly worth locking down....that said I didn't actually *find* a low mileage 1999 for $25K, but I was well and determined to do so, and I didn't look that long before settling on a nice low mile 2002 model....for $35K
I could see you getting $27-28k in a private party sale but probably not at auction. Local buyer at $25k gives him a good deal and you a fair deal. You could sell it at that price and have no regrets.
mc-renn, As others have stated (and you have ignored) you need to be a member to post items for sale or advertise a sale. Do the right thing and join or close the thread.
