Are the armrests on the door of my '02 C2 vinyl type or leather? And how about the center console (armrest)? I suspect it's vinyl, but sometimes I wonder if I'm cleaning it with proper cleaner. I do not have any upgraded leather package on my car.
If you had the full leather option, they would be leather. If you don't, they're vinyl.
I was told by my dealer that the door pocket cover and grab handle are in fact leather. The center console cover is supposed to be leather as well. This is regardless of full leather or not. I did see a Turbo this morning that had the center console in leather instead of paint and the compartment cover was leather with two lines of beautiful stiching and Turbo embossed into it. WOW!!!!
Alon, I have full leather and my armrests are leather covered. (You can always tell by the aroma). I installed AS covers which were originally black plastic, so I know they make them in plastic. If you look on the inside of the lids you can see where the leather is attached.
Don: don't you think that if you do more a few more mods here and there, you would have enough parts left over to build another 996? Peter
