Has anyone tried these, they must be overkill for a sportscar. Probably practical for a big truck tho. Endless Website Link

Coverage and how to read this overview
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.
5 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

12 piston calipers? Geez, maybe if you want to stop a Mack truck!
i'm a lil confused about brake technology. if there are more pistons, doesn't that mean a heavier caliper, thus not really a desireable trait? and if there is that much more pressure from the pistons against the rotor, wouldn't thicker rotors be needed to prevent warpage? i don't see the advantage here vs a 6 or 8 piston setup with good pads. (then again i'm about as much of a man of science as a monkey at a typewriter is william shakespear)
The additional pistons are to distribute contact surface and clamping force more evenly. Lightweight caliper material is used to reduce weight. Sometimes, it's more for show since brakes will easly lock up the tires any way.
With that large of a caliper throat opening and being two piece (not monoblock), I cannot imagine these being stiff enough to be more effective than OE Porsche Brembo systems. More bling than anyhting else
