its been a year since i sold my 00 C2,, this forum helped me a lot through that amazing porsche experience,, now i am considering another 996,, its an 02 C4S RUF converted,, it has only 12k miles since RUF refreshed the engine and supercharged it,, it also has RUF suspension,, the car looks as good as new,, but the question is,, being a RUF does it mean harder and more expensive to maintain? can a RUF be a daily driver porsche? what other possible considerations? please,, help me decide,, thanks,,

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

I'd say it sounds like your next Porsche. RUF has a very good reputation, can't imagine why it couldn't be a DD or harder to maintain. A few on this site have SC their engines and quite a few on 6speedonline. Any pics to share? GLWP

I will surely share some pics once i have them,, thanks for your reply,,
I think I have seen that car for sale. Its black right? There are people who have turboed and supercharged M96 engines with success but are never reflected 100% whole in resale. RUF, TPC or Vortex supercharger/Turbo kits.
no its not black,, its grey,, this car is located in saudi arabia where i live :-)
Nice and welcome! I grew up in Al-Jubail from 83 to 94.
i live in Jeddah,,

Attaboy!
Nice car. I would blend in the rear bumperettes with a painted set. Enjoy.
Very nice looking, how does it drive with the RUF SC?
Sweet ride!!! I'd love to hear your driving impressions of this car compared to your old 2000 C2. Especially considering I own a 2000 C2. BTW, I'm now at the perfect post count. I may never post again. LOL
Wait until you buy a 997...then post one more.

RUF SC is constructed by Rotrex,, their SC was engineered perfectly and differently,, not like other SC,, Rotrex SC produces good boost with minimum noise and heat thanks to their hydraulic traction drive,, basically,, it drives like stock,, but it pulls like a bull,,

it is different from my 2000 C2,, but i have to say that your C2 is way peaceful,, 996 MK1 is lighter, fun to drive and way less complicated,,
thanks all for all the comments,,
